Last night I woke up around 2:30 from an epic dream that I had. I went straight for my iPad to write it down. It was in medieval times and all the nations in the America’s banded together to fight the invading enemy. From the Ojibwe’s to the Cree to the Cherokee to the Aztec’s. In this dream, I was a halfbreed raised as a slave for the white masters. In this dream world, the leader of the invaders can access the God’s of any religion and she can acquire the temporary use of divine powers and she can summon demons and stuff like that. She was born a chosen one and was supposed to be raised to do good but she turned to the dark side.
The first nations people suffered great losses from a great war that happened before I was born. The four horsemen killed over half of their population and the chosen one, the woman in charge of the invading armies, killed all their religious leaders. The first nations people lost their connection to their god’s and they no longer had that protection from the evil entities that the invaders sent at them. Now, as I said, I was a halfbreed raised as a slave for the invaders. There was a Guru from a foreign land that was captured and brought with the invaders. He was a religious leader from India and the chosen woman has him teaching her the ancient Sanskrit so that she can have access to those God’s as well. He does not do that willingly. Anyway, while she was away from our castle the first nations army attacked us. I was told by the masters to grab the Sanskrit scrolls and run for the hills. I freed the Guru from his cell and we could not get away so we hid in a small secret room to wait it out. After a few hours, I decided to lighten the mood and I tried to read the Sanskrit. I was trying to get the Guru to laugh. He corrected me and told me how to properly pronounce the mantra that I was reading. When I said it correctly a light started to shine from me and the Guru was shocked and told me that I was a chosen one. I was born to be a religious leader. The light gave away our hiding spot and we were attacked. I was killed.
I woke up that same morning. Everything was happening exactly as it did the first time. We were attacked and I was told to save the Sanskrit etc but this time I did not make it to the Guru. I was killed and I woke up that same morning again. I snuck into the prison chambers to see the Guru and I explained to him what happened. His eyes lit up and he said that he wished that he knew what Mantra I had learned. I could not remember because, for me, it was days ago. He said that I had the power of the Samsara, which is the reincarnation cycle that his people believe in but because I am a chosen one I was able to acquire that as a power. I freed him and we ran away with the Sanskrit scrolls.
I fled to the first nations people but they took me as a prisoner because I was a halfbreed. I was not one of them. I explained my situation but they did not want to listen and they executed me instead. I woke up that same morning and I tried a different approach. This time I lived long enough to see that the chosen woman showed up to the camp I was at. She was looking for the Guru and the scrolls. They did not want to give him up. She started speaking Sanskrit and she summoned a Hindu demon called Raktabija. He started to attack the camp. Every drop of blood spilled from that demon spawned another clone of Raktabija. All efforts started to look futile. The Guru started telling me what mantra to say. I was struggling to pronounce it as one of the Raktabija demons was coming for us. I finally got the dialect right and I turned into Kali. A Hindu goddess that is the slayer of demons. The chosen woman saw this, I grew extra arms and I wielded a sword and a crystal ball. When I attacked the demons with one set of hands I caught the blood with the other set of hands. I did not let a single drop of blood touch the ground. I successfully defeated Raktabija and then I turned back into myself. The chosen woman had fled. I knew that she was going to return with her armies.
The next part of the dream is too long to type. The great war. I don’t know why I felt so compelled to write this down. The dream reminded me of the Children of Blood and Bone. In that story, the Magi’s lost their powers when a king cut their connection to their God’s. He also killed every Magi that was not a child and raised their children to be slaves. They’ve never known power so they were harmless… until shit happened and they found a way to potentially restore their powers. I think this dream came to me because I was thinking about a question that Karamjeet asked me once. “Why don’t you cut your hair? Your long hair is ugly.” I explained to her that I grew my hair out because my aunts & uncles were not allowed to. My father’s family are First Nation’s people. My grandparents had thirteen children and over half of them were forced into residential schools. Where some of them even ran away. Two of them were even twins that were separated. They were all reunited in the early ’80s and my grandparents decided to open a church. My grandfather is still a preacher man at this church. It is hard for us, first nations people, to learn the way of our people. It’s not even ancient history when my country tried to commit cultural genocide and force a generation of Aboriginals to be white. I was always confused about why my grandparent’s had a church.
Anyways, this was another pointless entry brought you in part by anxiety & depression lol.
