Both Sad and Glad in Everyday Ramblings

Took this about 9am this morning. The temperature was just at freezing. But what I like is the lack of the rain and the remarkable light. Any light is remarkable and within a half hour the cloud cover moved back in and we got serious glare. This is our waterfront park and the Hawthorne Bridge. After I snapped this I walked over the pictured bridge.

On this coming Monday our topic for Circle is Female Aggression. This is my topic, I chose it based on the relatively short but interesting article linked above that is about the unfolding knowledge of the science of female aggression. It is a big topic. Wow. But fascinating.

I was walking up into the Hawthorne district to have breakfast with one of our newer members and talk about the topic and come up with some way to have a decent and lively discussion about it in just over an hour. She is a newly retired librarian and a valuable asset to our group and we had an engaging discussion at breakfast. Wide-ranging and interesting. This is how the topics are supposed to work.

You have a partner always and you work on presenting it together. It was a great way to get to know her a little better too. Not to mention get in a lovely walk. I would have walked home too but we had arranged for her to drive me and she wanted to. All the time I have lived here I have never made that walk before. It takes less time then walking to my Weight Watchers meeting. :)

Tomorrow morning I start my Yoga for Hormone therapy workshop. I’ll report in.

Oh and speaking of victorious detachment,I haven’t had contact with Mr. Fine China in almost 9 days. I think we are a done deal. I am both sad and glad.

And moving on.
