Went to walk Beth (who did nothing, btw) and noticed that while my peppermint plants and Moon Flowers have been decimated by grasshoppers, the weeds remain intact and appear to have a strong root system. And I'm not talking about weeds with pretty flowers sprouting at their tips. We're talking nasty, sometimes sticky, sometimes needley, and never growing in any sensical way weeds. They're like the cowlicks of this region's flora. There should be a way to cross-breed such blights with Moon Flowers and Peppermint, making them stronger and grasshopper resistant, no?
And how sneaky of those who told me peppermint was impossible to kill. I say GRASSHOPPERS to you!
But wait.....I DO have diatomaceous earth. Bwahahahahahaaaa! Hmmmmmmm.......Buh-bye grasshoppers?
