Roses in Diary

Haha, I had a dream the other night that Jay proposed when we went out for our Valentine meal. Well, he didn't actually propose, he just gave me what was obviously an engagement ring (and it was lovely. A small princess cut diamond set in white gold with three tiny diamonds embedded in the band on either side.) and when I prompted him by asking what it was for, he just said "It's obvious what it is." lol! I wish he would hurry up and do it, he doesn't want babies until after we're married and, considering I'm already 32 and we're not even engaged yet, my ovaries are going to be all shrivelled up by the time we get around to it sigh It's starting to bother me now but he won't budge. He's actually said, the more I talk about it, the longer he's going to wait, which is so annoying! It doesn't help that every time someone else gets engaged, married or has a baby, everyone starts asking when we're going to do it. That makes him dig his heels in even more. Argh!

One of the people from the dog walking company replied and said they don't have any vacancies at the moment but they'll keep my CV on file. I'm still waiting for replies from the other two I contacted.
One thing I've just realised I've lost with Open Diary is my 101 things in 1001 days. I had all sorts of lists and things that were all linked together like all the films I've seen at the cinema and all the books I've read. I still have some of it on Live Journal but it's nowhere near as comprehensive and the actual list itself went down with the OD ship :o( I hope I've got it saved on my computer... Maybe it's a good time to restart. I failed my first attempt (only completed 46 things) and this time around I think I've only completed 24 so far and I'm pretty sure it was due to finish in February anyway. So I'll try and find my list and give myself another 1001 days, lol.

I hadn't even finished compiling the list to be honest, I'm sure there were only about 94 things on there. So I'll take the opportunity to tidy it up. Add some things, take some off etc.

I watched Mad Max for the first time ever last night. Everyone in the world seems to love it and it's taken me until now to watch it. What the hell? It's terrible. The plot was really thin and was just full of people driving around to fill time. There was no emotion involved at all. Nurse in the hospital, all deadpan like "We lost the baby, DOA." and that's it! Surely there would be more upset if someone's baby had died. Also, did the woman die or not? They didn't say. Urgh. OK I know it's 35 years old, but even for its time it was pretty bad.
I'll finish with a tiny, terrible photo of my Valentine roses, which Jay sends to my work every year :o) I might take some proper photos over the weekend.

edit The adverts on this page are now showing me photos of engagement rings. It's not me they need to convince, stop it!
