blame me in poetry

I’m sorry for all the times in summer
that I said I would prefer the winter
I was wrong and this is all my fault
blame me totally and I’ll deserve it
I did this, I doomed us all to this
I wished us into the cornfield and
I complained about the humidity
I complained about the sweating
I complained about the bright bright sun
then some evil spirit heard my wishes
granted them in a horrifying monkey’s paw
Twilight Zoney Outer Limish kind of way
and now here we are in this frozen hell
I did this, it is all my own damn fault
I am so sorry, mea maxima culpa
I will never hate summer again
until next summer, of course
if there is ever summer again
if this damn winter ever ends
