Teeth. 1969.

Yes, I still use a paper appointment book. I see it first thing when I get up…right there in River City. This month seems to have barely started, and the pages of the book are filled with assorted appointments.

One day we had two: Dr. Schultz for both our knees, then at 1900 we had a convention meeting. Many years ago I decided that my fuzzy brain couldn’t deal with more than one big thing a day. Now days I find that more than one excitement can too easily sneak its way into our lives.

Yesterday was two appointments again, a MRI on my knee, and G visited the new “Instant Clinic” at the doctor’s office. Today I get to go to the dentist. My new and expensive partial plate doesn’t fit right. I have two older partials that fit perfectly but are only good to look at. That really won’t do. Tomorrow, Valentines Day, we go to reopened Phil’s BBQ for dinner then to La Jolla where Joan is speaking.

There were a couple of blank days last week. Did I ever mention that I’m also, sort of taking part in “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up.” Slowly.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

  • Himself: Full of pills and nostrums and feeling better. At work.

  • Myself: Need to call and make an appointment for my wayward hair. After Max’s camera being pointed at the floor, we can see the top of his head now. So cute.

  • Photo: 1969: Charlie David took this in Balboa Park.

  • Reading: New book and new author.

  • Gratitude’s: That I can make and go to appointments.
