Writer's block in At the foot of the hill

My goal today was to write a story for my memoirs class. Have been trying to find a subject for a couple of weeks and was sort of toying with telling about my experiences as a juror three times. Had looked up some history on the net and had an outline drafted, but couldn't seem to get started on it. I grounded myself from blogs and computer games this morning until I got my story done.
It turned out to be a just so-so piece, but it is something. I'll probably read it at group next week, unless I come out with a better idea between now and then.
We'll be going across the "creek" in a couple of hours for our monthly "Cocktails and Classics" concert at the Event Center. Today we will be hearing singers from Lamont School of Music (Denver University) who are finishing their music degrees, so it will be good. We'll be served whatever we want to drink and probably croissant sandwiches, fruit or veggies, chips and dessert and have a chance to visit a little while with our neighbors. Always a nice time, and another plus: don't have to cook supper.
Our weather is being very spring like this week. West wind today pushing temps up toward 60. Gotta' love it.
I have watched a bit of the Olympics, but not really into it. Played bridge Monday and Tuesday. Went grocery shopping yesterday. Rode with Bob (Papa) when he had to run a couple of errands today.
 So it goes.....

EDIT: Does anybody know why my entries are posting funny like this?
