The break is over My stepdad got home. He walked through the house, but I fooled him he couldn’t find anything out of place lord knows he tried. I hate it mom had to go straight to work so it was just me and him. The first thing he asks did you go to school Friday. I said yes why would I stay home. He said I don’t believe that I told him to call the school. He said he would. He didn’t think I would go because my shoe was missing, I was there all day. I’m sure he will call the school. He tried to get me to ask about my backpack and shoe, but I didn’t bite. I will just use my old backpack and I have a sock. He said I guess your brother cleaned house my stepbrother has not been home since Friday I bet, he would explode if he knew that but unlike my stepbrother, I don’t run my mouth to get trouble started.
I got all my stuff ready for school we have to put everything for school on the table in the front hallway so he can check it, well I have to because I’m so irresponsible. I know I am because he tells me 10 times a day. He went to check and then ask me why I was using that old backpack. I told him I didn’t know where my other one was. All he said was guess more being irresponsible with your shit. He didn’t explode so I know he took it because I left it in the floor because he was so mad the other night and yelling get in here before he had to help me which is code for I’m getting my butt busted if I don’t come now and I was scared to go back and check but he would have exploded on me for losing my stuff so he took my stuff because I left it in the wrong place? and I didn’t lie I have no idea where my stuff is. He just looked at me and had a spiteful look on his face and said well I’m not replacing any of it because you have your head up your ass. I just said yes sir, but wanted to say I’m not asking you to I’m good with what I have. He makes me so mad but it’s not worth fighting over because I will lose
He stormed off and went to bed.
