Signs of spring at the garden bring relief in Daydreaming on the Porch

It was amazing after all the frigid weather in our area lately to walk the familiar trails at Magnolia Gardens and see, in addition to the abundance of camellias, azaleas starting to bud and bloom (too early actually), as well as the most cheerful and beautiful daffodils. There is nothing that can bring a song to my heart than the sight of those happy and glorious harbingers of the season of rebirth. Actually, here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina they are not at all unexpected about now, but we will certainly be getting many more in coming weeks.
