Open Diary may be gone, but the sun still came up the next day. Life still goes on, and its times like this that I still appreciate to have a place like prosebox to take my crap and give me a place to connect with ex-ODers.
I'm feeling better after my bout with pneumonia last week. I finished all my meds and followed them to a tee. I don't mess around with stuff like that and because of my dedication, I was able to get well enough to take Ethan for the weekend. I'm supposed to have an IV treatment on Thursday, but I might have to postpone it.
Ethan had a great weekend with his old man. It was a fun weekend, one that was topped with hitting stores in search of new Skylanders for my little guy. He's been collecting the toys that beam into specific video games for about a year and half now. He's got an impressive collection of figures, over ninety of them and counting. He can play the game on systems at both homes so it's just a matter of carrying the toys to and from the houses. We never found any new figures for him, but the hunt was just as fun and we ended with a dinner at Montanas afterwards so it all worked out.
I did manage to get some writing done this weekend as well. When Ethan's playing his games or with his clay, it's easier for me to take the computer back and get some pages written. I took Ethan home earlier today and I miss the little bugger already.
I'm making plans to take him and his brother to Tennessee to visit my parents. Still in the planning stages but we're talking about going down the week after school ends which is the last week of June, which means we'll be down there for the 4th of July. I think the kids will enjoy watching the fireworks. This is going to be a two week trip, as I want my boys to have some good quality time with their grandparents. They seem very receptive of the idea... that's a good sign.
So that's it from the Hammer. I'm doing all right but I've got to stop procrastinating and get back to my writing.
Take care everyone,
Peter
