8:56 am

Got a message on the housekeeping page on fb, and ended up gaining a new client. I put them on wednesday with Richie Rich and Gross House. I drive right through the new client’s tiny town so it will work perfectly travel wise. They’re an elderly couple, and the wife sounds super sweet on the phone, and I guess I sounded pretty nice myself, because she said “I think I’m going to like you!” lol I’m a good sales person… well, okay I can be nice… sometimes. lol

I went to bed super early last night. I didn’t intend on falling asleep, I just wanted to give my shoulder a break and watch TV but I zonked out. Ah well. I guess I needed it.

Sounds like I’ll be doing some Zmas decorating at Holy Roller’s house today. The hardest part will be finding the damn decorations. Who knows where they’ll be! Oy!

3:05 pm

No decorating today. Instead we organized her closet again. I know it’s not her fault. Her husband just hangs the clothes wherever. But she’s a bit like me when it comes to where the clothes are put (and right now my closet is not the way it’s supposed to be and it’s driving me batty), plus it just makes it easier for her to see what is there.

I want to try something with one of the DPM prompts later on. Not sure if I have the talent to pull it off. I’ll try, though.

Pam and I have to go to the liquor store to get stuff to make the gift basket for the family Zmas party/reunion/potluck/whatever else you want to call it. They have an auction to pay for the hall rental for the next year.

It’s pretty neat. A bouquet of nips. You tape the nips to skewers, and shove them in some Styrofoam in a basket and decorate as you like. I thought it was pretty unique. I’m not worried about finding the nips, but I hope we can find some bamboo skewers.

Today’s prompt: What do you consider ” love” to be?

To me, love is making sure your partner one is comfortable when sick. It’s asking “what can I do?” when you say you’re depressed. It’s hiding a cup of coffee/soda from your partner because you’re a wise-ass. It’s letting someone sleep late while you take care of the dogs. It’s getting you a mother’s day present from the dogs. It’s doing things you don’t really like doing, but your partner loves to. It’s cooking their favorite meal. It’s watching “A Christmas Story” all day long on Zmas because the one you love wants to. It’s finding an artist that you both love and going to every concert you possibly can. It’s making a special trip to your partners home town and meeting their family. It’s all these things and so so so much more.

So much more.
