After reading “The Lord Of the Rings”, and lots of Bradbury, in high school, I was well and truly hooked on fantasy novels (I still am), especially medieval-ish fantasy. These were right up my alley.

I love Ursula LeGuin! Most if what I've read of hers has been her science fiction, but I did enjoy A Wizard of Earthsea

I discovered her later : like about five years ago . I can’t say I love all her books but I have enjoyed a few . This trilogy I liked.
