Dear Mr. Lee,
You’re original run on Spider-Man from the 60’s are some of my favorite reads from comics. The iconic character and his rogues gallery of villains continue to capture my imagination even after 25 years of being a comic book fan. Especially so with the recent PS4 video game reimagining the character, I was hooked just like when Marvel ran the reprints of your run with the Spider-Man Classics back in the early 90’s like I was 10 years old all over again. Your cameo as the restaurant owner where Peter and Mary Jane reconnect made me smile as you gave your touching tribute to them being your two favorite customers. In a lot of ways all of your creations have been favorites to millions the world over but Peter Parker/Spider-Man will always hold a special place in my heart. You will never be forgotten and will surely be missed. Thank you for opening my eyes to a whole different form of storytelling and adventure.
Rest in peace good sir, and as always:
EXCELSIOR!
Signed,
A Long Time Fan
In other news mom had her surgery this morning on her thumb. She’s currently passsed out on her sofa bundled up with her arm elevated. My aunt, her twin, came into town to assist with getting her to the surgery center. We chatted up a good bit between reading our books while mom was under the knife. She also helped mom to the restroom due to nausea at Rite Aid. I cooked them both bacon and eggs breakfast when we got back home.
