my current annoyances in The Wonderland Years: 2014. Done.

actually these have been my annoyances for awhile now.

1: use of the term 'would of'. um no. you're wrong. it's 'would've' as in 'would have' 2: use of the word 'went'. or, misuse, rather. as in 'I could've went to the store yesterday but it was too cold'. um. no. it's gone*. 3: when people tell me I look 'so young'. [i'm 26 btw]. yeah that's not a compliment it's actually an insult. 4: when people assume that bc of my age I don't know who Sinatra is. really? cmon. you don't have to like him but at least know who he is. they're always surprised when I mention him. my god. do you know who lillian gish is? jimmy scott? cole porter? [well actually you might. but you get my point]. [I swear next time someone over the age of 50 mentions lady gaga i'ma be all 'how do you know who that is?] 5: when people assume that 'young people' as we're called don't have class or compassion or time. trust me i'm not that young. 6: um. people who aren't effective. this is actually why I unfriended cathy on fb. bc she wasn't. her friend updated something like 'so today wasn't great' and cathy's all 'i'm sorry'. yeah not much help. don't be sorry be effective. 7: when people don't validate. like your friend could go "i'm so stupid for doing this" and you'd be all "oh you're not stupid". um. you're not actually listening to them.
