Hey peeps. How’s everyone doing. Chugging along nicely here.

My dad was here from Tuesday afternoon through this morning. I felt bad when he left because I wasn’t awake, but he didn’t wake me up either. He had a short trip because Randy and I are headed to El Paso this weekend. He took a long weekend (Saturday and Monday off, he’s already off sunday, tuesday and wednesday) so we’re leaving tomorrow and coming back wednesday lol.

There’s a Dart meetup and they’re doing some photos and then there’s a free concert at one of the casinos. It’s Papa Roach and From Ashes To New. So that will be fun. Not sure what we are doing Sunday, may go to White Sands on Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday are up for grabs really.

Anyway, so yeah today has been a weird day. That happened, then I had to drive across town to get a prescription from the car that I forgot to get out before Randy left for PT and work.

I got some news today from a good friend that he and his wife are divorcing. Just very shocking, but apparently it’s been bad for a while. I’m glad he is out of the situation. They have kids, so that’s always a hard decision to make, but from what he was telling me, he might just end up with the kids permanently soon. Blah. For their sake, I hope she seeks help. Can’t and won’t go into more detail about that one because it’s not my place to say anything.

The one thing I DID want to mention is something that happened to my friend Liz at the ER. She had had a migraine for over 7 days so she went in. Everything was fine, but what they did that made me so upset was this....quoted from her reply to my comment about them not finding anything on the CT and how that it was good they didn’t find anything, but also frustrating…

“So frustrating! I almost didn’t go because I knew it’d be bad. They made me walk a line to prove I was sober and not just seeking meds! I’m sure it’s normal, but I wanted to be curled up in a ball!”

I told her NO that is NOT normal. That just means that they, in a medical facility, do not understand how a migraine works or what it does to people. It made me SO MAD that they would do that to someone. I’ve never once been subjected to a “sobriety” test when I have gone in because of a migraine. I don’t know if it’s because of my history, or what, but EITHER WAY it’s bullshit. OMG I can’t even imagine. I will throw a tantrum and go to a different hospital if they ever try that bullshit with me.

It’s sad, and upsetting. The last thing I want to do when I’m suffering through a week long migraine is walk a fucking line. sighs heavily

Anywho, so my title refers to a couple things that PTdude has said to me since I started my new round of PT. The first day I was back, he said I had a nicely shaped head lol. But he was referring to the point that the base of my skull is basically grippable. He was doing the traction like that before and I don’t know if they just got the machine or if he was just not using it lol. But now instead of him doing that, they have a traction device that they put me on every day when I get there.

The 2nd thing he said was that my shoulders and shoulder blades are strong and nicely shaped. He was like grinding into my shoulder yesterday. Like the way I have been wanting someone to do for AGES! There’s that trigger point right near my shoulder blade that has bothered me FOREVER and he was finally able to work it out pretty good starting yesterday. OMG The man is a genius. He was pushing and pushing on my shoulder blade, while pulling my shoulder back. And he was like “aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah! that was a good one!” lol. UGGGHHHHH. I am pretty sure he knows that him doing all that stuff to me just drives me nuts.

I have fun going there because a lot of times he and I are left in the room by ourselves so we can just talk and chat. But it’s not awkward or anything. But it’s also fun when the other people are in there because we all banter. Like we’ll call the other guy Helper1. He is always making me laugh and I cracked the fuck up yesterday. One of the other PTs had come in and was working with someone and PTdude was trying to do some traction on another lady’s leg. Well OtherPT told him he should use a traction belt.

So he went and got it and was struggling to get it on him and on her at the same time. Well I was doing my exercises and Helper1 was just staring at PTdude. Like hardcore staring. And I was done with my exercises. So I said “Hey, Helper1, wake up.” And he like snapped out of his mini coma and was like wow, I just got mesmerised by PTdude struggling with that belt LMFAO. I was like, I KNOW, i saw you hahaha.

Then they were talking about doing some workout things and I guess Helper1 had surgery a few months ago and he didn’t want to do said workout thing and he was just like “nah I’m on restrictions” lol. PTdude also threatened to kill me because I was using the belt he needed lol.

AHHH Good stuff. They also told me it was unacceptable I was going to El Paso this weekend. lol too bad. At the beginning they kept getting which side was affected wrong, and yesterday my right shoulder popped while I was doing one of the exercises and Helper1 was like wtf that was the wrong side, then you wonder why we keep getting confused. I told him “by the time I’m done here you guys will have worked on every part of me.”

Ok anyway, so that’s that. Uhm what else is going on? I’m not sure actually. My mind is scrambled. I need to finish packing a few things and then go to bed, but I probably won’t do that until Randy gets home, soooo I got time lol. He gets off in 45 minutes and then has a 45 minute drive, so yeah. hahah. Uhmmmmmmmmmm we gotta fix a few things in the AM before we leave like the hole where the dogs got out yesterday. Then I think we are good to go after that.

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you when I talk to you.
