For days it seems
Like the night has fought
A violent struggle against the day
Until the moon holds its face up high
And the stars parade victoriously
Across the heavens
The darkness stretches its hand
Over life
Realizing
There is no escape
From a black hole
Trying to devour the soul
In the vacant emptiness
Called home

The mirror of life
Has manifested into a thick fog
Surrounded in utter darkness
The magnitude of its circumference
Levitates you into its atmosphere
Suffocating one molecule
For each second of time
As the torture and pain
Multiply
All hope parishes
Trying to explain the description
Seen face to face
Watching the image
Trying to manipulate
Its own reflection

Everything has become
Lost inside another piece of history
Being swallowed up inside
The psychotic void of
Another empty dream
Watching the world fall to its knees
As the memories fade away
The echoes of life
Have become more vibrant
Than the fantasies
That is just a dream away

An exponential spiral
With a swirling vortex
Slowly succumbing to an end
Swallowed up
In an intoxicated creation
Then spit out from
The most beautiful dreams
That used to make life
An ecstatic illusion
Except now
From a distance
Hoping someday
The fractions of life
Will add up to the answer
That heaven will provide
