These three things are not long hidden. The sun and the moon and the truth. In November a few colleagues of mine from various store locations had a dilemma that they brought to my attention because they felt that I was the person who would be brave enough to do the right thing. They told me that our Operations Manager, Larry was having an affair with his Assistant, Danica whom I worked with a couple years ago. She and I were actually pretty close. Then I was filled in on the last affair he had with another member of his management team, Lindy. The way he handled that situation was extremely poor. He would brag about how obsessed she was with him and show off her nudes to his colleagues, other General Managers. He had her pick them up from an event topless to show off his power over her. This whole Harvey Weinstein like situation created bad climate between all locations and I can go into details here but I won’t bore anybody here more than I already am.

His sister passed away in December and I did not want his family to go through even more so I put this mess on the back burner and waited for a better opportunity. I waited way too long actually but why should this have been my responsibility? I told my General Manager and he was creeped out and told me to dismiss it all as hearsay. He is new to the game and is just as afraid of Larry as everybody else. When I finally told our Regional Manager the other day he seemed deeply disappointed that none of the General Managers reported this to him. He should not have been hearing it from me. The RM took me very seriously and didn’t seem too surprised and told me to give him some time to make something of it all. I told him that he can keep me on the record and now this is finally out of my hands and off my conscience.
