The sky is filled with grey clouds, and I am upstairs here hiding, writing this instead of studying. I’ll get to that in just a while, but I must admit that I am slightly more comfortable with the nine-hundred thousand rules of driving now. Yes, I have learned a lot in the last month.
George is learning a lot too. He bought all new wood for the back stairs, and he is busily down in the garage giving it all a coat of paint….terra cotta. About the same color as the original color of the carpet. Tomorrow each will get cut to fit each unique space. The staircase will look nice, and it will be very dramatic when it is done.
My two cousins are meeting after a long separation. One lives in the Charlotte, and the other lives in Milwaukee. Tom’s wife is now in a nursing home, and for the first time in years he is free to go south to see his sister Jerry. They were very close when they were growing up, and they have truly missed each other. They both have busy, energetic kids and grandkids who make creativity a part of their everyday lives. Someday I will meet them all.
I’ve mustered all my paperwork for the new license.
I’ve survived a nasty loss of temper when the derm office called. More to come off my leg which isn’t quite healed yet, and the insurance hasn’t approved the surgery. I’m so spoiled…I wanted to go back in the pool so acted like a three year old. (Pounding my feet on the floor, and telling folks what I was thinking of wearing compression stockings in 80’s heat while getting fat.) LOL
