Dogs in Adventures in paradise

I was pretty bored today. My life's become pretty mediocre these days, since I've been so tight with money in the lead-up to Mardi Gras. I still don't have a new laptop, and am still using my tablet and bluetooth keyboard to write entries. Technology these days, huh? Writing on my laptop felt so much more natural though, and I can't wait to get back to it. I just don't want to go and spend $500+ (and that's for a mediocre range) just yet, as frustrating as it is sometimes.

So, because I as bored from hanging around the house so much, because let's face it, it's cheaper, I went for a walk and took my tennis racquet, just by myself to hit the ball around down at the courts, but there were way too many people there, so I ended up just wandering around the park, which was nice. It was overcast, so the weather was nice and cool. I sat down for a while to rest, and in that time, I saw so many people walking their dogs. It was so cute! All different breeds of dogs, and I must've seen about 10 of them within a half hour. One of them was a little jack russell and got excited when he saw all the other dogs and tried to take off after them, but luckily he was only little so the owner had control of the leash. Once the other dogs were out of sight though, he let it off the leash and they spent a while playing chase with a tennis ball.

It made me really want my own house one day, and my own pet :) I reckon I'd get both a dog and a cat. This whole idea that they don't get along isn't entirely true, so I hope I could get two that get along well :)

That's a long way off yet!

I'm near convinced that I'm going to have to return for a second jury duty on Tuesday. It would be awesome if it was any other day, as I'm still doing the 2IC job temporarily on Mondays at work, so it'll be a deja-vu from last week where I'll finish at 2am and in court by 8:45am. Such is life!
I'm hoping this is the last week of this crap. What are the chances of not having my number drawn twice in a row? :) That'd be nice. Otherwise I'm gunna be exhausted before my holidays start. Guess I'll find out when I check the law lists tomorrow.
