‘ so. this isn’t new exactly just more of the same. um. so valerie. she’ll laugh at things that most people wouldn’t laugh at. and it’s not like offensive exactly [except for when she laughed at the idea of someone hitting their head on a microwave door. no. as someone who has a TBI just. no] it’s just weird.
so lately in the front yard we’ve had bunnies. or er. rather there’ve been. bunnies. and so well the other night when we were back from being out the bunnies in the yard skittered away. and she laughed. i wasn’t offended i just don’t see what’s funny. bunnies are cute but i don’t find them particularly funny. hm what’s a funny animal? um i don’t know monkeys maybe. i. that’s a good one. i got nothin against bunnies i just don’t think they’re funny animals.
also. and again she seems to think i’m really hard to follow. yeah the other day i was telling her about ‘a wrinkle in time’ and i’m ‘it’s trippy. so if you see it’ and for most people. [i’d say ‘normal people’ but that sounds bad but that’s my point bc i don’t like her] would know where i was headed w/ that and know ‘oh ok. so that means she’s letting me know that it is’. like. um. right? but w/ her. she’s ‘ok so if i feel like that it’s the movie not me’. um i.........wow. that’s. so not where i was going w/ that. like at all. i know i’m hard to follow but damn.
and then she was ‘do you think the writer was?’ meaning. ‘do you think the author was high when she wrote it?’. meaning the book. and i don’t like when people do that. it implies as though only someone who’s high could write something like that. it sortof. i don’t know it’s actually kindof offensive. and insulting. [and maybe madeleine l’engle was i have no idea. or maybe not. but i’m guessing not.]. like someone who isn’t high couldn’t possibly have written something like that. um ok the 2 aren’t mutually exclusive and they don’t always go together though they can.
also like it’s weird. bc whenever she’s talking about an attractive guy she’ll say he’s ‘handsome’ and it makes her sound like an old lady. i don’t really use um. older terms exactly i just know about. famous people from before my time. also i use British words like ‘er’ [which apparently some people read as ‘e r’. um. no. don’t they know?] or ‘holiday’ or something. ‘handsome’ is completely different from ‘cute’ or ‘hot’ and i refuse to believe otherwise. no charlie chaplin. isn’t ‘cute’ or ‘hot’. he’s ‘handsome’ they’re not the same thing. or ‘across the way’ is another one i’ve used.
she’s just. idinno too lighthearted in a way. and there’s nothing wrong w/ laughing. it’s just what she laughs at that’s weird. i don’t know if i’ve known anyone quite like her and if i have i don’t vividly remember it/them. ‘
