Sedalia Manhart Street and the Southbound Main MP 24.5 in Tales of the Jointed Track

From the map, last entry, you can see the town of Sedalia is not that big. “Main Street” 2 blocks long.

Gabriel’s is a Northern Italian Restaurant, here in Sedalia. It is the Fancy one. It used to be MR.K’s, when I was dating my wife. She still remembers, ( when she tolerated me and did not know “IF” she liked me) we went to to MR. K’s. “Sedalia where’s that?” “West of Castle Rock, it is good you’ll like it”. Yes I had been there before. The Mr.K’s…LOL The owner, “Welcome to MR.K’s … I AM Mr. K” Tux and Top Hat and all the accoutrements . This is an old Mansion, or well to do Ranchers home. Hey close to the railroad, like 75 feet from the southbound. Eat here you may get a Coal Load serenade to enhance your dining experience.

Great place.. will set ya back about $150.00 or more depending on wine by the bottle or glass, but I don’t mind paying for food as long as it is good.

You want a good greasy wonderful tasting hamburger or cheeseburger, Bud’s is your place. This is a true DIVE. Old caps stapled to the ceiling. DO NOT ASK FOR FRIES … PERIOD!!!! They don’t have or make them. You get a small bag of chips..:P How many times, when stopped for a gang.
Gang Foreman: “Coal load BN 5501 south, you’ll be here for 45 minutes, If ya want to get something to eat do it”. “We’ll call ya 15 minutes prior, and order for the Crew and the Helpers” “Okay, will update ya.” It is a two minute walk. The helpers will shove over Manhart and gates go up and stop. 5-10 minutes we are on the way.
