I think we have made progress with the Moose. There are still some problems. I am not a dog trainer, and before we got him, he was basically a wild man. So we have enrolled Moose in the Sit Means Sit program. We will be interactive in this process.

Our walks and interaction with other joggers, walkers, bicyclists, and other dogs has gotten so much better. Still room for improvement. Still need a program.

My goals..for him and this program which can be met:
1) A walk not only for him, but for me, and/or the wife. No Lunging, Pulling.
2) Commands not when he wants but when “we” want. Moose doesn’t come when called, because in his dog mind it aint important. Well it is important to me.
3) Distraction… Save Me!!! This dog mind goes 360 degrees, with no focus.
4) A dog that is not a F***’ing pest, but enjoyable when others come over.

I’ll update August 13th is the initial start of training. Knowing this works, the trainer said.. “This is a massive POOL of energy. He’s a retriever, and still in PUPPY mode. These dogs are easier to train, than others”. Moose at times is like a nuclear melt-down. Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Moose, I know there is a Diamond here.

Will keep everyone updated
