Solo = No No in Hello

Busy day. Chauffeured mom and my aunt around today. Few thrift stores, got two Terry Brooks books. Aunt bought us lunch at this higher end steak house called Conner’s. That sirloin was SO damn good. We all shared an appetizer of fried mushrooms with a spicy type of horse raddish sauce. They were really tasty. After that I drove them to a local joint (Peggy Ann Bakery) for some sweets.

Few hours later I went to see Solo: A Star Wars Story. It wasn’t half bad…then again it wasn’t half good, either. Think I’ll stick to the Legends books where it has a better, and more coherent, storyline.

All in all a good day. Excited for the new (to me) books. Have never read any Brooks so I’m looking forward to it.

List so far:
Finish Jedi Academy and I, Jedi.
The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams.
Bombs Away and Fallout by Harry Turtledove. Gonna have to wait till book three comes out in paperback before I start on those, though.
Magic Kingdom For Sale SOLD and The Black Unicorn both by Terry Brooks.
And of course The Time Travelers Almanac story collection. That book is freakin’ huge and has introduced me to some great authors.

I love having a stack of reading material to choose from.
