I was sitting in class today and my professor was discussing the short stories that we were supposed to be reading. Most of the class didn't read them of course so there wasn't much feedback. I love talking about literature, the themes that we saw, the symbols present, and our own opinions on the work itself.

Talking about the short stories got me thinking about how long it had been since I actually read a book for leisure. I have been so busy with school that I have not made time for reading. It's kind of sad that the things you enjoy you don't have time for anymore; you sort of go through the motions and you forget to enjoy the moments. I would love to be able to read a great book, and I decided to do that today.

I looked up some book recommendations. This is the list of books that caught my interest and I (hopefully) plan to read them over the next couple of weeks.

  1. Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe

  2. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte

  3. Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray

4.Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert

  1. Scarlet and Black by Stendhal

  2. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde Well there is my list...I think I am going to love them and I am pretty excited to read them! If anyone has read any of these let me know how you liked them
