I’d rather do good than feel right
I’d rather help the refugees here now
than lead some past or future’s revolution
I’d rather follow flawed people trying
than have to fight the monsters that pour in
when you’re so busy heralding long-lost causes
you lose the plot of helping people now
I’d rather be moderated and humane than
be a blinded-to-the-consequences Templar knight
I’d rather do good than feel right
if order’s what today advances the humane
than that’s where I enter the fray
if tomorrow compassion’s to come at chaos call
I’ll be there waiting to storm the hall
I’d rather do good than feel right
I’d rather be impure
than let humanity know blight
just so I can feel superior
I’d rather do good than feel right
