how good must sex be for the pineapple bird
to do it knowing that it’s love’s final product?

how much must they hate their goddamned bird children
when they’re sitting there sassing back
texting their friends on a cell phone?

it’s really good pineapples are just fruit
and the worst thing that pineapples can do
is ruin the idea of pizza
