Not Cross Posted in Book Five: Working Through the Maze 2018

One good thing about having nothing to do at work right now but to wait on Courts to decide that I can, in fact, depart is that I have lots of time to catch up on reading.

Unfortunately, as this site’s issues have been… complicating things… a lot of that writing is goodbyes and “nice knowing yous.” Understandably very few “see you laters.” Because we all know the truth of it. When OD passed, many of us came to PB. But not all. Of those who did not come to PB, we lost track… we didn’t hear from… we didn’t find. Even many who did come to PB lost track of those with whom they were friends. Now the exodus is even more divided. There is no one all-encompassing site that we’re all going to. We’re separating, finding the ones we like best. Which is good and important, don’t get me wrong. We need to find places that work for us. But that means that for many, if not most, we’re not going to be seeing our friends again.

One of the problems I am already noticing is
(1) I am an avid notes whore. Seriously. This comes from my days as an actor.


(2) Digital Expression, for all the reasons I love it, is a SMALL. ASS. COMMUNITY. And lacks the wonderful people, feedback, challenges, and insights I got from the members here.

So… either way, maybe I’m just going to have to embrace the idea of “writing entirely for me” and that being enough. Which may be good for me. Because if “writing for me” is enough… maybe I’ll find a way to make it my career in some way.

Until then… due in large part to some much needed external motivation… I think I am in the right mindset to continue working on some of my Draft Entries. Off to work on that now!
