2017 survey in Diary

Last year’s survey was all doom and gloom, understandably; it’s in my “on this day” to the right of the page if you want to compare! This year’s one is SO much better :o)

[1] What did you do in 2017 that you have never done before?
Skydive
Sold a house
Half marathon

[2] Did you keep all of last years resolutions?
I don’t normally make them, if I want to do something I just do it instead of waiting until New Year.

[3] Have you any goals for next year?
Move in with Dave
Have a baby
Find more time for my hobbies like knitting / crocheting and exercising.

[4] Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I can remember.

[5] Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully not this year.

[6] What countries did you visit?
The Netherlands (Amsterdam) and Greece.

[7] What would you like to have in 2018 that you didn’t have in 2017?
A baby. Stability.

[8] What dates in 2017 will remain etched in your memory and why?
28th April - was supposed to be my wedding day.
29th April - Skydive.
17th December - For a reason I can’t publicly announce yet but those of you my friends list know about ;o)

[9] What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Skydiving and raising almost £2,000 for the mental health charity Mind, hopefully helping some other people going through the mental torture that Jay went through and hopefully stopping someone else from taking their own life.
Selling my house.

[10] What was your biggest failure?
I can’t think of anything. Yay!

[11] Did you suffer any illness or injury?
No :o)

[12] What was the best thing you bought?
Nothing really.

[13] Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Dave, my family.

[14] Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The bloke who bought my house after saying he wanted to move in before 17th October, so I moved out at the end of September, then he disappeared for six weeks, leaving me to pay for my rental flat AND my house at the same time for three months.

[15] Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage, flat rental

[16] What did you get really really really excited about?
Selling the house.

[17] What songs will always remind you of 2016?
I can’t really think of any.

[18] Compared to this time last year are you :
• a) Lighter or heavier? Probably around the same at the moment.
• b) Happier or sadder? Much, much happier :o)
• c) Richer or poorer? Quite a bit richer since I sold the house :o)

[19] What do you wish you’d done more of?
I wish I had had more time for relaxing and enjoying hobbies.

[20] What do you wish you’d done less of?
Stressing.

[21] How did you spend Christmas?
With my parents and other family, up in Cumbria.

[22] Which OD (PB!) users did you meet for the first time?
No-one.

[23] Did you fall in love in 2017?
Yes :o)

[24] How many one night stands?
None.

[25] What was your favourite TV programme?
Peaky Blinders

[26] Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No

[27] What was/were the best books you read?
I don’t get to read as much as I would like.

[28] What was your greatest musical discovery?
I can’t think of anything.

[29] What did you want and get?
Sell my house.

[30] What did you want and not get?
Spare time to relax.

[31] What was your favourite film this year?
Not sure, I’ve seen a lot of films this year!

[32] What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I turned 36. I went to work, but Dave took me to Alton Towers two days later

[33] What one thing made your year more satisfying than 2016?
So much. So very, very much.

[34] How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2016?
Maybe a little bit quirky.

[35] What kept you sane?
All my friends and family rallying round.

[36] Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
Probably still Ewan, I haven’t really thought about it.

[37] Which political issue stirred you the most?
The ongoing threat of terrorism. Donald Trump - just, everything that he does or says.

[38] Who did you miss?
Jay

[39] Who was the best new person you met?
I didn’t meet many new people.

[40] Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned this year?
Ummm. I had a deep and meaningful one from last year but can’t think of anything for this year!

[41] What quote can be used to sum up your year?
Not really a quote, but it was infinitely better than 2016.
