Mental Illness One-Upping Is Bullshit in Random Public Stuffs

In this day and age, mental illnesses are a dime a dozen. Many people think its a license to do whatever the fuck they want without consequences.

Getting busted in the face is one of those consequences I am more than happy to give.

So I am dealing with a customer who is on the phone. I ask for her name and she holds a finger up.

Fine. I will take the next customer.

She slams her phone down and screams something about having severe anxiety and how talking on the phone is “so hard for her” and how I “need to be patient with her because she doesn’t want to be in public”.

I move around, ignoring her bullshit tantrum, and take care of the quiet and polite customer.

She screams again and the quiet customer says, ”Everyone has anxiety these days, you are not anyone special.”

I couldn’t help it. I laughed and clapped.

Chick cries about how her anxiety is worse than “anyone else’s anxiety” and she said she was going to “slap me and I couldn’t do anything about it”.

Fine.

I leveled my gaze, smiled, and told her I would lower my vocab for her: ”You don’t act like you have anxiety. But I do have Bipolar. I have a record. Put your hands on me, I will not hesitate to defend myself and put you down hard and make sure you stay down.”

Another person, along with the quiet customer heard her screaming and came out. She asked if I wanted to call the police.

Screaming chick grabbed her keys and stormed out, screaming profanities, and slamming the door.

I looked at my desk and laughed.

She left her ID and important paperwork.

I picked up the phone to call my boss to see what I should do when the chick came storming back in. She saw me on the phone with her stuff in my hand.

Dramatically, she fell to the ground, sobbing, begging for her paperwork and apologizing up and down.

And the Oscar goes to....

”I am really sorry but I have severe anxiety and cannot always control myself.”

What-the-fuck-ever.

That is bullshit. And bitches like that make it hard for the rest of us who truly work to better ourselves.
