Aloha from a very wet… and very windy southern coast of Oregon…
This is day three of a pretty good storm… the ocean is extremely turbulent… huge swells and wave heights to ten feet hitting the rocks just off shore…
The beaches are covered with drift wood… and not just small pieces of wood… but logs as thick as four feet… and some as long as twenty feet…
Lots of coastal flooding which is to be expected… yet I am awestruck when I see pictures of it…
I’m doing okay… my home is about 200 feet in elevation above sea level… but there is always a threat of flooding (what with water runoff) with the heavy rain…
Ironically the temperature is quite warm for this time of year… 50-60f during the day… and the high 40s at night…
I cleaned the gutters and downspout guards earlier today… so I feel somewhat at ease as far as the house is concerned…
Well… another aloha Friday… lots of football on t/v this weekend… and when the rain lets up… I’m off to the beach again…
I hope you have a fun and safe weekend…
Thanks for drifting by… and for your notes to me…
Me ke aloha…
