February 12-
I just didn’t have a reason not to so I was up and out the door by 6am this morning. I was wearing my hiking socks for the second time during the last nine plus months and I put on the new $35 boots from Walmart. I put on a fleece jacket and grabbed the new walking stick.
I walked due north for 2.1 miles. I walked back. I did stop for just a few minutes at 7:24am to watch the sun rise over the mountains. Nice.
Back home I changed back into my usual lounging around outfit and went in the house and put on a pot of coffee.
After coffee and reading I invited Mom for a trip to the store. After we finished at the store we went to Village Inn to eat. It was noon but we both had breakfast.
We were back home by 1pm. After I put the groceries away I came out here and put NPR on and laid down for a few hours.
All in all, a good day.
Whether I get up again at 6am only time will tell.
The weather turned wintry again. Overcast, windy and only getting up to 65 degrees today.
Rain is predicted every day for a week but we haven’t seen a drop yet.
February 16-
I wrote that entry above on Monday the 12th. I went to post it and PB was down. I checked PB every day until today.
It has been overcast for the last few days. It actually rained off and on for one of those days.
As for the news of the 18th school shooting of 2018? Everybody has an opinion. Just like everybody has an asshole. And everybody thinks their’s smells better than anybody else’s.
If psychopathic tendencies are true mental illness then yeah, mental health is an issue.
I’m sure though that living in the most violence prone society on the planet may have something to do with it also.
Like I said- what’s new? Time for the next story.
Mom still has the cough. She’s said “No” to a fourth bottle of cough syrup. No clue what to try next.
As for repeating the walk? Nope, didn’t happen. Could’ve, should’ve, but didn’t.
It should be warm enough, if the sun returns, to return to poolside this weekend. That is what is predicted anyway. We’ll see.
