Where's The Scandal? in Thoughts On...

This has to be the least scandalous season of Scandal. It has been so boring. For a final season, I expected a lot of edge-of-my-seat episodes. Instead, it has been more of a should-I-just-watch-Friends-reruns type season. There are only two episodes left. If it does not end in some sort of Designated Survivor pilot type scenario then I think they missed the mark. I could swear that Shonda said she had a plan for the entire series. If that is true, how can it be so good in season one and two and then completely turn to shit three through six? Also, for a woman who likes to kill people off, why has the only deaths this season been extremely minor, if that, characters? I mean was Jake’s wife really a surprise? I didn’t even think they were still married. None of the regulars have died and there are only TWO episodes left. I would have thought there would have been some major death this season. Maybe if Olivia had drank the poisoned wine last night. That would have been shocking and made me WANT to watch the last two hours of this show. Instead I was pissed that she didn’t chair Cyrus like she did Andrew (nice nod to that by the way) or that she didn’t take that gun and kill both Cyrus and Jake. Problem. Solved.

Also, what kind of mood stabilizers is Huck on? He is certainly subdued. Especially for a man who kind of got off on killing just a few years ago. It took this long for Mellie to remember she has a daughter? Perhaps Shonda has been paying attention to the more astute tweeters who don’t forget shit like CHILDREN.

Did Olivia really think Cyrus has anything to do with Ella? That he would know how her “goddaughter” is? Yeah, remember that his marriage-of-convenience-gigilo-husband took Ella and left his sorry ass? Remember when Michael watched YouTube videos to learn how to “do black girl hair”? So freaking adorable! Oh remember when Cyrus almost had his dead husband James killed way back in season one or two? And she didn’t take the gun and kill him why?

And the end of that episode? Olivia jumping into Fitz’s bed like she was on fire and it was a pool of water? Don’t forget the wine. Is it too much to hope that is the poisoned bottle of wine and the second to last hour opens with them dead in bed post coitus? Now, that would be a way to wind down this series!!!!
