all right, then in Not-So-Hum-Dingers

Hello.

I have/had an online diary over on Open Diary since late 2001, but that site seems to be acting out some sort of dramatic death ritual that to me feels like the creators/operators of it just got tired of the whole thing. This makes me sad.

But here we are, testing out a newer, more hopeful format. I've been reading Darwin's Origin of Species on my little kindle that I got for my 30th birthday, so I'm familiar with the idea that those species that refuse to adapt are eventually crumbled down into extinction. I'm hoping to adapt.

I've been re-devouring my Kurt Vonnegut collection these past few weeks, so that sort of style may creep into the words my hands type into this "place."

Um...I feel like I should say a lot more, but also like I've said so much in the "old" place that my writing "body" needs to settle into this "place" like an old man getting into a very hot tub. Or something.

I'm excited and scared about this change, but hopefully we'll all evolve together.
