Emails in Him

Playing around in my work email, I came across our beginning.
I lay with you our first night and it took 10 years for it to dissolve.

Replaying the coy me and you and our cat and mouse games.
We developed our own language and we developed our own us-ness.

It was sweet. We were great. I won’t get caught up in the what it could have been.

Afterwards, I deleted all the pictures and the emails. You & I were truly of another world.
