So, I got up early today to do my work.
Checked E-Mails at 8.
Went to Ames and Back to grab some much needed discovery.
Started researching Divorce and International Law.
Read some terrible things happening to kids.
Been asked to research Asylum stuff.
Have other stuff I need to do.
My left leg hurts in a new and excruciating way right at the hip joint.
I have an eye appointment today that I am hoping will say “Wow, you’re eye pressure has sure gone down! Congratulations!” Or at least I hope that is what will be said.
Then I anticipate working more after that. Trying to take care of anything/everything so I can focus on my Interview tomorrow afternoon.
I’m trying to stay “chill” as I can. I don’t want to be overeager and ruin my shot.
EDIT:
Here’s another reason why I’m (1) a bad fit for this firm; (2) a better fit as a prosecutor; and (3) likely a bad person.
I. Do Not. Care. What a person’s immigration status is as far as it pertains to criminal law. It shouldn’t be “Drive Drunk as much as you want; if you get caught we’ll play the Immigrant Card.” It should be “This is your 2nd OWI and you hit someone. Your first OWI resulted in a property damage accident, this OWI resulted in you almost killing someone. I don’t care if you are English proficient or from a different country!” That is how I feel. Which… is NOT what our Chinese Clients would be happy with.
