So, I am doing that one thing I didn’t want to do.
I’m getting excited. I’m getting my hopes up. I’m actively contemplating a move, a job change, house hunting, all of it. I am hoping. I am getting excited. I am crossing my fingers.

Here’s the interesting thing. In Omaha… I looked for a job for over a year. By the time I got the offer, I was willing to take anything. So I went to Tiny Town, got experience. Tiny Town was dying in a sucking vorpal whirlpool of Rural Iowa Death. I couldn’t let my career die and be stuck in that town. So, come a Job or Not… Wife and I had to get out of Tiny Town. By the time I got the offer, I was willing to take anything. So I took the job at Current Firm. Here’s the interesting thing....

Current Firm isn’t a good fit. But I can survive it. I can ride it out. I can do this job until they fire me. So… I’m not in a “I’ll take whatever” mind set. I’m not at all in a “anywhere but here” place. I’m in a “I want stability, predictability, and a staff environment. I want a salary that I can live on and health benefits. I want a job that lets me do good work, helps me improve, and allows me to have a life.” I honestly think this Job Interview could lead to that if I nail it. So I’m getting excited and hopeful. Fingers crossed!
