if everyone is broken then nobody is
if nobody’s perfect then everybody is
yes, yes you, even in the back there
we’re all dinged up, we’re all burning oil,
we’re all dragging brakes, throwing hot sparks
admit all of your fractures and step into glory
people without problems are just a fairy story
the key to the game is admitting it
laying it all bare on the world and never pretending
so many of our monsters are created or empowered
by the charade
of pretending some of us are without flaws
of pretending that some of us can speak for the gods
we are all raging confused bags of dying meat
pinpricked with an infusion of the sky and the stars
this faint stain of divinity
this trace amount of infinity
trapped amoungst instinct and stupidity
embrace that everyone is shattered
face down that you’re riddled with faults
then it really won’t matter
if everyone’s broken then nobody is
and nobody is
nobody is
