Early celebrations for all three today! There will be a program at our Event Center this afternoon honoring veterans… Papa was in the Navy 1951-1955…just at the end of the Korean conflict and into exciting advances in aeronautics and the space program. He was stationed at Patuxant River Naval air test center.
Then this evening our senior club’s monthly meeting will feature Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas gift exchange....always lots of food and fun.
Son Mike and his wife and I guess their younger son will be going to the northland to spend Turkey Day with her parents who are having old age issues…
Daughter Rhonda, husband and eldest daughter just spent a week with us the end of October and all have to work the days before and after Thanksgiving.
That’s the way it was last year and Bob and I joined a few of our neighbors at a dinner served by the staff here. It was okay, but not the same as having family gathered around.
So: Bob and I fly out this coming Tuesday for California and will spend two weeks with my sister and her family. We are excited.....
