Missing paycheck, high dental work in Misadventures of West Virginia Woman

Today dentist looked at my tooth told me i either need a root canal, the tooth pulled or the one he doubts would work a filling. He smiled as he told me a root canal is $2,500. Tooth pulled or filled was $500. He talked about the thousands in dental work like it’s a great deal.

My paycheck is a week late lost in the mail he acts like i got money to fix a nerve damaged tooth a dentist destroyed by “fixing” it. He acted suprised when i told him i cant afford this right now he offered me a credit card with 28% interest. He acted even suprised when i said i am going to check other dentists prices. I paid $101 for him to do an x ray and tell me how screwed i am.

My paycheck is a week late. It took me over 4 hours to talk to payroll. They informed me they will send it to Charleston i need to drive 2 hours away because they cant get my check in a damn PO Box. My mother grew irritated but suprised i didnt know my physical address yet where i moved. They require it he sent by delivery to my house. The woman got off the phone very quickly. I tried to call her back another 2 hours. Without that paycheck i cant afford my 45 minute drive to Princeton. My mom gave me gas hoping i can make it to work.

My mom bought me a jacket because bus duty in the mornings are super cold. She arranged an appointment with McCormick in Beckley because they promise they can fix this cheaper. The 22nd they will try to figure out what to do.

I have been crying a lot about my missing paycheck. Been playing phone tag. What is the point of having a job if you can’t get paid?
