Passed down from an Ancient Hooker? in A small but passable life.

I was up at my usual 8am this morning. It was 60.2 degrees in here with the windows open. Too nice!

While I drank my morning coffee I swapped Moms scooter batteries with the two extra batteries that came with the scooter to see if they were any good. It’s been nearly twelve hours now on the charger. They are still dead. Probably toast. I’ll swap the originals back in tomorrow.

Daughter called and we chatted for a bit. She is going to email me the pictures she took while on our hike. I’ll try to figure out imgur and post them here.

When I took off to run errands today Mom decided she wanted to ride along. Gah.

Stops:

Grocery store for a gallon of milk and a flat of bottled water. Mom waited in the car.

The library to peruse the “New” book shelf. I didn’t find anything. Mom waited in the car.

The post office to mail a package for Mom. Mom waited in the car.

The Goodwill store to drop off a trunk full of crap. And then we both went in. I finally found a lampshade for my lamp. I spent two years in the attic staring at that 60 watt LED bulb! The shade was only $4.99, vs. a new one I’d seen at Lowe’s for $18.

It truly does look like it belongs on an ancient hooker’s bedside table though. It’s off-white with clear beads hanging around the top and an inch-and-a-half long beige fringe hanging all around the bottom.

I’ll call it pretty!

Anything is better than the four bulb fluorescent fixture in the ceiling.

The last stop was Ace hardware. I found a set of strap hinges for my bed platform. To be installed at some later time. Mom waited in the car.

I was back home lying by the pool by 1:30pm.

After dinner I dropped Mom off to play with her friends.

And now?

Who knows?
