Want to understand the mind of a person…
Man.
So I found a new podcast and have, like, binge listened for the past 3 days called Dissect. Twelve hours in all. It broke down song by song, verse by verse, the body of work by Kenrdrick Lamar. Mainly his CD “To Pimp A Butterfly.” By the end of it, this in my head was a love letter of understanding to Tupac Shakur, the community, to the listener, the whole world.
The weight this young man carries on his shoholders is great.
This podcast opened my eyes to the inner workings of a genius. It made me emotional for him. It made me want to start a prayer circle for him. It made me look at me.
I encourage anyone to listen to this.
I have been moved by this and feel connected to the artist in a way that I didn’t before.
That’s all.
