Milaka and Sahara both got up early again to get us to the train before they had to go to work. We stopped for a sandwich and pie with talk. I am really grateful for all they did for us this visit. At the station, we each took turns photographing each other then the saying good bye. I shed a few tears. It may be years before we see them again.
Talking with people in the new first class lounge kept us energized, us looking forward to the long ride home and many others on vacation traveling onward. We met some fascinating people this trip. Only a few were hard to talk to.
Nice sleeping car attendant. Unfortunately, we did not sleep well at all. Stomach pain for me. Repeated bathroom trips for both of us. But the scenery was wonderful, and when we woke there was a beautiful new world outside the windows.
- Himself: Lots of work yesterday, and today he sounds a bit harassed. Dinner and a Poolie visit.
- Herself: Did both the pool and work, and for some silly reason feel tired. I can still fit into my clothes...which is triumphant. The library now takes our discarded books.
- Poolie: She off everything but can't stand or walk. Refuses to go into a nursing home, so she will go home with 24 hour care.
- Reading: Still Queen E II,
- Gratitude’s: That I was able to take this trip and only be a little discombobulated when we got home,
