Make love like you’re starving because you probably are.
Like you’d die without that connection because you probably could.
Like you’d drown without someone else to hold onto because you almost did.
Make love like you’re starving because our stomachs all grumble
for someone to make you feel like you matter
that you can ride your bodies with out into the astral plane together.
Make love like it is a communion because it is.
Make love like a ritual sacrifice because you are.
You are sacrificing all the space there ever was between you.
You two are going to blur together for just a little while and
in the depths of that deep blur there will be elation
there will be connection and you will not be alone
you will not just be that one person, for a little while.
Make love like you’re starving to not just be you for a while because you are.
We all are.
I sure as hell am.
Starving.
