She whispers oh so soft at night
Rephrasing my sins in her active mind
Still, she keeps on
Keeps on
Keeps on playing
With my life

And I wonder if I ever saw you right
Spoke with the girl I thought I might
One day spend the rest of life
With glitter-smitten, stormy kissing
My hands at home always
All over your body, oh so tight

I wonder, I wonder
Where will you be
When most you miss me
Cause I miss you far
More than you thought
I knew I might

Clearly all these cloudy nights
Flooding reality breaching fantasy
Hurricane days so damn sweltering
Make for a very overcast kinda
Restless life

So I whisper softly to the twilight sky
Won’t you someday whisper to me
And we will burn as brightly
As Dr. Umstadter’s new ray
In a way only your crooked smile
Could ever ignite

So darling whisper to me
Let’s burn it, baby
Let’s burn it bright
Let’s be everything
Opposing dark nights
Like this night
Let’s be everything
Let’s be the light
