And I am. I have such an I don’t care attitude about a lot of stuff right now.

About last nights rehearsal:

So I don’t know if I told you all before. When I was 18, 19, a group of friends and I formed a singing group. We went to a few places around town and sang, but nothing that was awesome. We did, at least, sound okay at best. Part of the problem was lack of discipline. Part of the problem was ego. Lots of stuff. I was the first to quit. Even though, looking back, I would kill to have that body, I had big boobs, and hips, but I was told I’d need to lose weight. I was like eff you pimp. At any rate, lots of issues. I guess because MR was light skinned and the thinnest of us all, and in some eyes the better singer of us all, she was the lead singer. Whatever. I never liked the spotlight anyway. I just liked being with my people. LW was the hussy. KYB was the ditz, and I was the normal one, the voice of reason. That’s is a whole Odyssey. Will delve more on it.

So last night… MR picked this song a while back and said I want us to sing at my event. Okay. When are rehearsals? When the band is secured, we on it. Okay great. So we’ve had a minute. I didn’t know if we were going to still do it because she’s good for that. It’s whatever. So with less than 5 days before the event, NOW we rehearse. I’ve been practicing. I’ve listened to the song, sang some of the harmonies if I can find them. I’ve been at and away from it on and off because I didn’t know if this was happening. So it’s going to be me, MR and KYB because no one knows where LW is.

We get to the place, we are an hour early. So we leave, go back to MR’s house and when KYB shows up, we play around with it. Time to go back to rehearsal. Get to the spot. Give the music to the musicians, they are on their game. Said they would have the song down by event time. We on the other hand, didn’t. At least they didn’t. MR didn’t know the words, despite saying she listens to the song EVERYDAY, KYB hasn’t really listened to it. And Me?? Well, I was acting choir director. Putting everyone on their notes, finding my own and doing well.

So we’ve scheduled another rehearsal for tomorrow and I will come with more suggestions and we are going to bang this out without all the foolishness.

I’m too grown for this.

But no matter. I’m hibernating for the winter.

Kindest regards,

Sister
