I’m trying to have a better mood around work. Just… generally… grab things that come and see how far I can go with it.

It helps; but it still makes days like today… difficult.
I had a great start. Came in to work before 8. Reviewed the big case for the day; had a summary and solutions ready before the bosses even walked in. I was rocking and rolling.

And then… came the contact. In all of my cases, there is contact… and waiting.

New Case: Not even the preliminary hearing yet. Wait until Monday.
New Case: Not even an initial appearance yet. Wait until Monday.
New Case: Waiting on Boss for approval
New Case: Partners arguing over if there is a case
New Case: Waiting for clients to send me Property Lists
Case for THIS Week: Client refuses to see me/speak with me
Case from Last Week: Waiting on Prosecutor to return my Phone Call (and E-Mail)
Case from Last Week: Waiting on Prosecutor to respond to Judge’s Order
Case from Last Week: Waiting for signatures from clients
Case from Last Week: Counter Offer decision of the Bosses
Case for NEXT Week: Waiting until next week
Case for TWO weeks from now: Waiting for two weeks from now
Case for NEXT month: Waiting for next month
Human Traffic 1: Waiting on County Attorney’s reply e-mail
Human Traffic 2: Waiting on County Attorney’s reply e-mail

That is all of my cases but one. ONE case… the other side has refused to pay client. We have a promissory note. We have an agreement and payment plan to begin repaying the money. I’ve even given them an extension on their first payment. They haven’t paid. So I need to research how to “fix” this. How do I go after them? Well… my first instinct is “They agreed to pay. They didn’t pay. Here is the signed agreement. Make them give us money.” But… apparently… Boss says it isn’t as easy as that.
