Hypocrisy. Both Republicans and Texans. They both say “Fuck the Federal Government” until they need money. Dipshits.

The common folks though, we’d better say “there but for the grace of the flying teapot go I”.

Evacuation? Yeah, the people who could afford to flew out a week before landfall, just like they did in New Orleans. Just like all people of means do when faced with war, famine, or disaster.

Houston. The last three years. Three floods. All worse than the one before. All “500 year” floods. Unprecedented.

And here comes Irma. Cat 3 at 40 degrees W. Unprecedented. That word has been used quite often the past ten years or so.

I ran out of books to read so I’m back on the kindle reading Lewis & Clark’s journals. They are on the upper Missouri. Basically lost. Trying to decide which branch to follow upstream. Immense amounts of wildlife.

Google Chrome has been telling me for a long time that my Vista operating system on my eight year old laptop will no longer receive updates. First youtube became (unloadable? unwatchable?). Then shit got real slow. And now the adblock extension quit working. So now I’ve got ad trash everywhere.

So the only thing I’m using the laptop for is scribbling and saving journal entries and reading PB.

Technology really does suck.
