Sunday, dog park and relaxing day, boat date. in A New Journey

I will first share about my date I had with Boat, the reason why I call him Boat is because he is from Steamboat Springs, https://www.steamboat.com/. We have been talking for the last 3 months on the phone every night, he has given me emotional support on my move to Casper and we have a lot in common its so unreal. I wasn’t planning on finding me a boyfriend but I wanted a special friend who could understand me at times. I do like the long distance relationship as it still gives me more freedom to my self and we both have an understanding what we want. SO we planned our first date going hiking as we both love walking and being in the mountains, so we picked Woods Landings (Jelm) area which is close to Laramie, Wyoming. Boat found a nice trail we could hike for 3 miles and have some sight seeing and WOW, what a beautiful day I had.
I left early Monday Aug 14th to Woods Landings Resort at 6 am, I went to get gas for my car first and a nice tall cup of Chia at Starbucks ( where my daughter Cat works at as store manager), I am able to get free drinks there. That always makes my day!! Then I drove 2 hours to the spot where we picked to meet. Once I was 10 miles from the destination spot I got a call from Boat that he had arrived and explained to me where he was. SO My heart started to beat. I found him and we went inside Wood Landings Restaurant… https://woodslanding.com/........to have our power breakfast before our day of hiking. We talked for an hour and ate some good breakfast with some good fruits and power meal.
Then I decided to leave my car in the parking lot of Woods Landing and he drove to a hiking trail and there were lots of people there as well as it is a popular spot. I had request we go to an area where there would be people. I got on my good special shoes I wear for a lot of walking and we started on a very nice trail and wow I was so awed of this park, the day was just perfect weather, sun and some little breeze, we stopped at several spots and sat and talked and talked and I didn’t have my camera but I totally wish I had. SO NEXT TIME I AM BRINGING A CAMERA! I din’t want to bring my phone and be rude as usually I am not but I wanted to get to know Boat and make it special for us. We hiked for 4 hours and really enjoyed the day. We are going to make a plan to meet once a month some where and spend the day together. We talk on the phone every night for nearly 2 to 3 hours, it has been such a huge impact on me as how well I can hear him on the phone. As I am deaf and I wear Cochlear Implants, I am so amazed how I can actually be on the phone and have a nice conversation with people.
SO I truly had a great day with Boat and yes we are falling for each other but we have plans to make sure we take care of ourselves. I like my independence and I want to finish raising my son Rocket as my past experiences my son was mentally abuse by my last relationship so I am very protective even tho my son is 17 years old. HE is more important to me to make sure he finishes High School and be on his own some day.
Yes I am lonely but I want to make sure we don’t just rush and move in together so soon. Boat is a ski Guide in Steamboat Springs and I do NOT want to take him away from his love. We plan to make plans to travel and do things together a couple and go from there.

We shall see!!

SO today I am making me a energy lunch as I sort of skipped breakfast and once I finish eating I am taking my dog Dakota to a dog park and let her run for a while.

OH yesterday Rocket and Cat and I went tubing down a river called North Platte River, OMG the water was so F** COLD, Excuse my language but I just had to say it. lol but it was so much fun, it took us 2 hours to go a mile and half and it was relaxing too. My grand kids went out of town with their dad camping for the weekend so we had a nice relaxing time with out kids.

IT is nice and sunny here in Casper so I am not going to waste my day sitting around, I do need to move around. I will read your entries later.
