So I was relieved and excited for Joshua because his school was doing a thing .... apparently thy have determined the eclipse to be unsafe to view and are closing school for the day. smh I’m gonna go get him for the day and go over a “how this is happening thing” and why everyone is so excited and even how it will be different at his house (he’s in like the 85% range) Then we will get some lunch and either head to the park or here at home.... or the library if Rocky is unable to track one more pair today, which is the biggest issue. I had asked mom about it on Monday so I could find out if she had glasses for him.... if I should track some down or whatever..... and they were hard enough then… told Rocky not to worry to much… call that lady we got ours from and if she’s out I’ll give him mine. As adults if I find i regret doing it we can make a trip April, 2024 to Ohio or something. Still a tad irritated.

She called me last night confused because they called her saying he’d be out Monday the 23rd.... and even though I completely insisted the eclipse was Monday the 21st she kept saying He was out the 23rd. for the Eclipse.... then that Monday must be the 23rd.... and I’m all nope Monday the 21st is the Eclipse to there has been an error on the schools part. If he’s off for the eclipse it’s Monday the 21st lol....

Of course now.... I have to text her about my facial piercings.... but lets pound out a pick up time first.... it’s going to upset her. Somewhere in her religious self she thinks that people with Tattoos and piercings are going to Hell. She cried when I showed her my tattoo. I personally don’t think that way at all!.... in fact if your body is to be a temple than why should it not have decoration?.... just sayin.... I have to do it over text over the weekend… during work… or she will be in shock when I pick him up Monday morning. I hope for his sake that it isn’t a reason to not let me get him. Normally a friend who is staying with her would watch him in situations like this. She’s kinda strict when it comes to Joshua and I just don’t think that’s gonna work on a “big” day like Monday should be. Also, I’m sure she won’t make a big deal out of it or ensure that he sees it.

Still think it’s dumb they are closing schools because of it. It’s completely natural and amazing, should be a learning experience and although it is both the job of a parent and a teacher to teach children this easily falls squarely in School time.... so.... sigh..... unlike sitting still or not being rude.... those fall on a parent
