Solo errands. in A small but passable life.

I had such a peaceful and relaxing morning with my coffee and novel that after I finished my third and final cup of coffee I decided to go run errands, solo.

I went and filled the car up. I went to the grocery store and wandered the aisles. No grocery list, just browsing.

I found a regular sized letter writing tablet that I couldn’t find in Walmart the other day. But I had bought a box of the little envelopes at Walmart.

I also bought a half gallon of chocolate soy milk. And a half gallon of Tillamook Mudslide ice cream. I guess one cancels out the other?

I then stopped by Taco Bell and grabbed lunch to take home to Mom.

I was home listening to NPR by 1pm.

The new ice making machine. There is no place it will fit on the counter. I got the measuring tape out and found a lower cabinet shelf it will fit in. I’ll make a pull out shelf so it can be pulled out and filled and emptied right there between the sink and frig. I had emptied the “plastic” out of that section of cabinet and tried to explain to Mom that none of those containers have been used in years. She seemed to think otherwise so I found various other cabinets to stuff them in. Whatever.

The trunk of the car is slowly filling up with charity donations. It’s like a never ending river of crap coming out of that little park model trailer.

I will persist.

Anyway, the new frig is now full. The pantry is full.

And now I hope for some uninterrupted days of reading.
